The attic of Flat Top Manor served primarily as the servents' quarters. Painted wood was considered more desirable, and because it was never seen by guests to the manor, the attic remains unpainted. Today, visitors can access the upper levels of the manor only on pre-arranged tours. Moses Cone Memorial Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.
